Porter (Valet Attendant) | Permanent Part Time | Auckland | Full Availability Required

As a Porter, you will play an important role in creating a warm and memorable first impression for our guests. From welcoming guests on arrival to assisting with luggage, directions, transport and general enquiries, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys being active, helpful and guest-focused. You will be part of a supportive Front Office team, helping deliver heartfelt Kiwi service and creating moments that make our guests feel genuinely cared for.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcoming guests warmly and professionally, creating a positive first impression from the moment they arrive at the hotel.
- Assisting guests with luggage, directions, transport arrangements and general hotel or local area enquiries.
- Supporting arrivals and departures by working closely with Front Desk, Concierge, Guest Relations and other departments.
- Maintaining the lobby, forecourt and Bell Desk areas to a high standard of presentation at all times.
- Creating personalised guest experiences by using guest names, recognising guest needs and looking for opportunities to create memorable moments.
- Responding to guest concerns or requests with patience, empathy and a helpful approach.
- Promoting hotel services and facilities by confidently sharing information about what the hotel has to offer.
- Supporting safety and security by remaining observant, reporting concerns and following hotel procedures.
- Assisting with shuttle bus driving, patrols, door person duties and other operational tasks where required.
Our Ideal Candidate:
- Must carry a full and clean New Zealand's Driver’s License.
- Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, concierge, porter, transport or another customer-facing role.
- A warm, confident and professional communication style, with strong spoken and written English.
- A genuine passion for helping guests and delivering thoughtful, personalised service.
- The ability to stay calm, organised and helpful in a busy hotel environment.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow hotel procedures accurately.
- A proactive attitude, with the confidence to take initiative and support the wider team.
- Professional grooming and presentation, in line with a luxury hotel environment.
- Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
